No Limit Thinking
Have you ever said, "I don't want to get, you know, too big"? Well, don't worry about it. With that attitude you never will! Not everyone wants to be massive, I understand. Some just want to develop a quality visual appearance in selected muscle groups. I don't know why, but perhaps Dr. Phil does
But before you switch off because you may be in the "I only want to look big when I have my shirt off and no one is standing beside me" category, allow me to let you in on a little secret:
Any limiting belief about your desire for size will limit the outcome of whatever you pursue.
Year's ago I was training with my regular partner doing chest. He was doing a set and I was spotting him when he racked the bar before even closely approaching failure. I asked him what was wrong and why he stopped when he still had plenty of reps in him. His reply was "Why bother, we're not going to get any bigger" Now, I struggled through the rest of the workout with that statement burning into my brain. After the workout I told him that I did not want to train with him any more because his negative aspect to training would affect my goals. This was over 10 years ago, and as far as I know he quit training. I never saw him again.
When I hear statements like "I don't want to get too big," I believe that person is putting the brakes on his/her results before they even get started. In essence, what They're really saying is "I don't believe I can get big, so why not aim lower and not be disappointed?" Don't worry, you are not going to wake up one morning and realise you have gotten "too big".
What you have to realise is that whether you want to build a little bit of muscle or a lot, the same rules apply.....you have to train bloody hard! I see too many people in the gym every day training with this "I don't want to get too big" attitude who will never get ANY results because they are not applying themselves.
Don't go there. Understand that being massive isn't that scary, and yes, you can do it!
What I'm encouraging you all to consider and accept is your right to get massive if you want. Don't allow limiting beliefs about your potential to smash your results to pieces before you even get started!

| Spring Contest Action
Spring is the time of year when all the bodybuilding action hots up. The first show is the NABBA Night Of The Champions. This show is on the 11th of September at the Norwood Concert Hall. Pre Judging is at 10:30am and the night show commences at 7:00pm. Promoters Lorraine and Wayne March have promised a great show which will be a bit different to any other show.
The INBA SA Titles will be held on the 3rd of October at The Norwood Concert Hall also. This will be the biggest bodybuilding show in SA! Over 40 competitors are expected to be onstage to vie for one of the many trips on offer to the Nationals. The Men's Open Class will be a highlight with at least 3 past Australian Title holders competing. Last years Overall winner, Ken Lavanda is coming down from Broken Hill to defend his title and is looming for another showdown with man-giant Paul Wachtel. Five weeks out from the show Paul was a massive 112kg and looked like he just needed to drop a couple of kilos of water. What about two time INBA Mr Australia Joel Ramintas? I know Joel is dieting and does plan to compete as he came in to buy some tan, but he was coy about his plans to compete in SA. Come on Joel, here is your chance to once again prove you are truly one of the great Australian bodybuilders.
Pre Judging is at 10:30am and the Night Show commences at 6:00pm. Tickets are only $20:00 and are available at the door or from Australian Muscle, City Gym Light Square, Intensity Fitness Holden Hill, and Olympic Muscle and Fitness Reynella.

WHAT'S THE SECRET?

Many natural bodybuilders spend the majority of their time looking for the one training, nutrition, or supplementation strategy that will miraculously launch them into a new level of growth.
Let me ask you a question: with so many champion bodybuilders, nutritionists, personal trainers, exercise physiologists, not to mention the Ph.D.s, CSUSs, MDs and other "experts" with fancy letters behind their names, intensely studying this subject, why don't any of them agree on the best bodybuilding strategies?
Believe me, if there were a "magic" solution, someone would have already discovered it by now.
I have had the privilege of talking with many top drug-free bodybuilders in the world and in Australia. Some of them train very heavily and some rather light. Some do up to 20 sets for each body part while others do as few as four. Some train six days a week and some only three or four. Some diet strictly all year while others start watching what they eat just six weeks before a contest. A few of these athletes use every supplement available while others use none at all. The methods used by these champions are all different, but their mindsets are very similar.
They have become a drug-free bodybuilding champion because of Their vision, positive outlook, passion, courage, determination, perseverance, and patience not because they know some magic secrets!

Did the South Beach Diet contribute to Bill Clinton's heart problems?
As we have heard, President Bill Clinton had chest pains and shortness of breath, and was found to have a new of blocked arteries. He was told by his doctor's to have immediately bypass surgery (he may have 4 blocked arteries, but they will know better once they started the surgery how many bypasses they will need).
Did the South Beach Diet contribute to Bill Clinton's heart problems? That is the question that some people want to know? Here is the quote from Dr. John McDougall, regarding that.

My Contest Prep.
I will not be competing at the Sept 11th contest. Why? Because I will not be ready. As I write this I have about 4kg's to lose. I am still continuing on and will now focus on the INBA Australian Titles in Melbourne on the 30th of October. This gives me another 8 weeks to lose that 4kgs. At the moment I weight 76kgs and am hovering at around 10-11% bodyfat. By the time I step on stage, I would of been dieting for 6 months. Boy, has that gone fast! I must admit now that I was fat! It's easy for most of us to ignore that huge roll of fat around our guts and justify it with "But I have to eat a lot or I won't get big". I'm eating more food now and I am losing fat. I feel great and am starting to look pretty good as well.
There are a lot of advantages to losing that gut;
- I can now tie my shoe laces without turning it into a 5 rep set.
- My tracky daks don't keep rolling off my belly.
- I can see my old feller.
- I can sit at a desk without starting to pant for breath.
- I have full range of motion on the Leg Press.
- Getting in and out of compact cars is a breeze.
- Veins are a fascination.
- I don't jiggle when I go over speed humps.
Diet stats. In 16 weeks, I have eaten;
- 64kgs of chicken breasts.
- 25kgs of fish
- 120kgs of veggies
- 112 cans of tuna
- 720 eggs
- I have cycled 1,120 km of which 397km is full on sprinting.
- I have drank 525 litres of water.

Ronnie Coleman - The Cost of Redemption

The DVD from Video Master Mits Okabe we all have
been waiting for is out now! Ronnie Coleman - The Cost of Redemption!
It was taped in August 2003 and shows Ronnie`s workouts for
the 2003 Olympia! (And we sure all remember that Ronnie shocked

bought a 2001 model EA ute. Finished in a striking dark blue
duco with green and gold sign writing depicting the flexing
kangaroo, it's an eye catcher. I want to see just how eye catching
this ute is. If you see the Aussie Muscle ute on the road, call

prize. Seeing the ute in the shop carpark, in my driveway, or
at Limbo Gym, does not count. In the past month the ute has
