Men's Novice 
The Men's Novice class was one on the closest of the night, with 5 competitors in great condition. There was only 1 point separating first from second and second from third.

Men's Junior
The Men's Junior class also incorporated the sole Teenager, Adam Misiewicz. Adam also won the Most Potential award. Justin Firgaira set the standard in this class with a chiseled thick physique. Justin was chosen to represent SA at the INBA Nationals.

Men's Intermediate
This class represents bodybuilders who have competed before but have not won a higher title. This was another great class. Zulzahir Cayli emerged as the winner but also showed that he has tremendous potential in the sport. Zulzahir has a great physique, tiny joints, and full muscle bellies, if he can stay focussed, he will be a future champion.

Four girls contested this class with the judges having great difficulty with the minor places.

Women's Open Figure
The open figure also incorporated the sole o/40 figure competitor, Rosemary Nannini. This was another tight battle between the two girls. Second place Esther Pedisic was pipped by Filomena Rugari by only 3 points.

Men's Open Short
Three superb physiques contested this class. Third place Tim Bennett was 5kg's heavier than last year but with all the cuts still. Tim also won the most muscular award. Paul McGregor was a soild second. Joel Ramintas was the clear winner. Last years Overall Champion and Overall Australia came in 2kg heavier and looked great. Joel will be favourite at the 2002 Australia.

Men's Open Med
Two athletes contested this class. Winner Gino Sergi presented a complete tight package. Carlos Azevedo was bigger but the judges felt his condition was slightly off.

The Overall was a unanimous decision in favour of Joel Ramintas.
